It's Mugen and Jin from Samurai Champloo --I love them both so. And I'm pretty sure "Champloo" means "mixed" so hence the title...
This pic started out as a great sketch from Dan an Admin (and wonderful artist) over at MediaMiner.org ... and I took on the task of line art and colouring. Truthfully, I don't think this is anything I could ever draw, so it was an awesome challenge to see if I could "finish" it. I just hope in the end I didn't maim the sketch too much. Thanks so much to Dan for allowing me to do this. I hope to do more like this in the future. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. anyway, you did a nice job on the ink and color... it hasd a very old-style meets new style japanese look too it... reminds me of the old wood-block prints mixed with graffiti or something...
anyhoo... keep it up.
Mugen is way crazy, and I love all the three the main chracters but I think Mugen is my fav, too. And I saw that pic in your favs, I remember seeing it before, it's a wonderful piece. Ah, but thank you so much!
